HIGH FREQUENCY ( best acne treatment)

What is a high frequency treatment?

High frequency is a type of current that is used on acneic skin to speed the healing of active breakouts and on very oily skin to dry out the skin. It has a germicidal and healing effect on skin. Unlike galvanic, high frequency uses a different type of current – an alternating current.

How Does High Frequency Work?

The high frequency machine connects to a glass probe (by a wire).

That glass probe is filled with a gas, such as argon or neon. The gas makes the probe glow a certain color when it’s turned on (e.g. violet, orange, red).

Probes come in different shapes to accommodate different areas of the face. The most common one is called the mushroom probe. It is round and flat which cover a bigger area.

An esthetician places gauze over skin and then runs the probe over the gauze for a few minutes. There may be a little sparking.

The probe produces ozone gas that kills bacteria inside a pimple. The bacteria that causes acne (P. acnes) cannot survive in the presence of oxygen. So ozone (which is a form of oxygen, denoted as O3) kills the bacteria.

The heat emitted from the probe also has a healing and drying effect.

**This treatment is recommended once a week for active acne skin. There are no age limit for this treatment. It's for all ages.

MedCouture Lash Lift is one of the easiest and fastest ways to brighten and lift your entire face. The stunning natural alternative to eyelash extensions, it is one of the essential treatments chosen by many celebrity make-up artists which gives that stunning wide-eyed look to your natural lash. With the MedCouture Keratin Lash Lift and Lash Tint, we straightens your natural eyelashes at the root, using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten, curl  and lengthen your own natural lashes to create the effect of longer, fuller, wide eyed look in just 75 mins. This will last you 6-8 weeks and can be combined with a tint to leave the mascara behind. The results are immediate!

How Long does the procedure take?

Depending on the length and health of your natural lashes, the procedure takes about 75 mins and lasts up to 6-8 weeks!

How long does it last?

Depending on the length, condition, and shedding cycle of your natural lashes, the lash lift/ lash tint can last up to 2 months or longer, but can vary from person to person. There is no need for maintenance appointments before 6 to 8 weeks. It is recommended having the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some activities that may cause the lift to drop/ weaken prematurely such as swimming, sauna, use of harsh products or heat. If you feel that your lift is not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment.

How is the Lash Lift different from lash perms?

With Lash Couture Keratin Lash Lift, lashes are lifted from the root to give you the curled look rather than curling at the tips to create the illusion of longer, thicker lashes.

Can I use an eyelash curler?

No. There will be no need for an eye lash curler after this treatment.  Using an eye lash curler may weaken and break your natural lashes.

Who is a candidate for Lash Couture Lash Lift?

Clients with naturally long lashes that does not need extension.

Would the Keratin Lash Lift/ Lash Tint look like eye lash extensions?

Lash extension and Lash Lifts are two totally different services. In some cases, clients with longer, fuller, and thicker natural lashes will have a better result. If you have natural fine, short lashes then your result will be look more naturally lifted.

Is there any maintenance?

No, not at all.

Can I book this the same day as a HydraFacial MD?

Yes! you can. The medical HydraFacial treatment does not use any steam. Unlike a regular facial, the HydraFacial is a medical treatment.

Can I still wear mascara?

Absolutely! mascara will give you a more dramatic effect.

Are some lashes resistant to the lift?

On a very rare occasion. Clients who have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern are very difficult and sometimes not possible to sustain the curl. We won't know until you try this treatment and see how your lashes hold the curl.

What is the application process?

The process is very relaxing. After you lie down on the table, your licensed specialist will cover your lower lashes with a soothing gel pad to protect your lower lashes during the application. You then relax with your eyes closed. Many clients fall asleep during the procedure. Based on the length and density of your lashes, your licensed MedCouture specialist will choose the appropriate silicone pad size to "lift" your lashes and apply water soluble glue to hold your lashes. The specialist will then brush back the lashes so they attach to the silicone pad and apply the specialized eyelash perming solution. Depending on the size and shape of your lashes the permanent relaxing solution will sit on lashes for 12 -15 minutes. The perming solution is then removed with q-tips and a neutralizing solution is applied for 10-12 minutes.  A 5 minute lash conditioning treatment is then applied. The entire process takes about 75 mins.

Can Lash Couture Lash Lift be used to compliment other treatments?

Yes! MedCouture Lash Lift is enhanced when you use our RevitaLash MD growth serum product. While your lashes grow longer, our process controls straight or overly curly lashes by giving them a uniform lifted look. A complimentary eyelash tinting can also be applied during the treatment to enhance the look of your MedCouture Lash Lift. If you have blonde or light brown lashes you may want to get your eyelash tinted along with your Lash Lift.  Lash tints are special dyes applied to your lashes to give them a darker color.

Is the procedure safe?

Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting silicone pads before products are applied so no products will be touching your skin. Lash Lift should only be performed by a Licensed lash specialists.
